Dr. John Jiuliano

John Jiuliano, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. John Jiuliano believes in the patient-physician relationship. He takes the time to evaluate, individualize, and personally discuss treatment options with each patient. He and his staff strive to provide the best care for each patient, both non-surgical and surgical.

Dr. Jiuliano is double board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Hand Surgery. He received his medical degree at Georgetown University, completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training at Tripler Army Medical Center, and completed the Harvard Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

His practice encompasses General Orthopaedic Surgery, with sub-specialty training in the upper extremity from the shoulder to the fingers. Dr. Jiuliano cares for patients of all ages, specializing in treating acute injuries such as fractures, tendon lacerations and ligament ruptures, as well as nerve and microvascular vessel injuries. He also performs complex reconstructive procedures for nerve injuries, deformities from fractures and soft tissue injuries, joint replacement surgery for arthritis and arthroscopic procedures.

Unique to his practice is his ability to perform outpatient procedures with the patient wide awake successfully. Patients appreciate “wide-awake hand surgery,” a surgical approach utilizing local anesthetic without a tourniquet. Patients are not required to fast the night before surgery or change their medication schedules; they do not generally experience nausea, vomiting, or other unwanted side effects associated with general anesthesia; and they spend less time at the surgery center because the post-operative recovery time is shorter.

Dr. Jiuliano is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UH-JABSOM and enjoyed teaching Orthopaedic Residents, especially during complex surgical cases. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. And a former member of the Philippine Medical Association of Hawaii, and the Hawaii Orthopaedic Association, where he served as the recent past president.

Dr. Jiuliano joined Legacy Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine in August of 2021 and looks forward to growing his practice in the North Dallas area.

Dr. Lue is an outstanding doctor and easy to talk to. After a quick exam on my shoulder, he knew the procedure I needed and we discussed surgery options in CO and gave recommendations of several colleagues. So far my healing progress has been steadly improving.

Found Dr. Miller three years ago when I broke my wrist in Costa Rica and needed an orthopedist for follow up appointments and my PT order. Came back to Dr. Miller when I needed my shoulder repaired. He's an amazing surgeon, great bedside manner and supportive of meeting the patient's request during the recovery process while ensuring your health care is not compromised. Highly recommend Dr. Miller if you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon.

Julia W., Google Review

I had a tricep tendon repair surgery with Dr. Lue and I'm extremely satisfied with the level of care given by him and his staff. They were extremely helpful in scheduling the surgery, helping me with pre-op procedures, checking in on my healing progress and helping me with the documentation for school and work. I highly recommend Dr. Lue and Legacy Orthopedics. Extremely capable and caring clinic and personnel.

Ighor T., Google Review

I could barely walk the first time I saw Dr. Chaim. He looked at my x-rays & immediately knew the problem. Surgery was scheduled the next week. While the recovery was intense, I was able to walk in a few months. 2 years later, the same surgery had to be done to my other foot. Same great results! Now I walk pain-free!!!
